Many women have different needs when it comes to concealment holsters. More often than not, a woman's hips will push the muzzle away from the body, thereby causing the butt to dig into the rib cage. I have seen some manufacturers produce essentially a duty rig with welt extensions to keep the weapon's butt away from the rib cage and then call it a woman's holster. While this is, of course, more comfortable, you must wear a down coat three sizes too large to conceal it! The Nancy Special™ is a strong side holster designed to ride slightly higher with a bit of muzzle forward rake. This prevents the muzzle from being pushed out and keeps the butt from digging into the rib cage. For best function, we do recommend S&W J- and K-frame revolvers with short barrels and the shorter autos.
